Our swirling two and three-tiered skirts are made from 100% silk. They are trimmed in Jacquard Baroque silk noil, adding just enough weight to the bottom of the skirt to enhance their flowing movement. We base our intricate designs on an ancient Japanese binding technique called Shibori (shibori is). Shibori design elements are combined with multiple dye baths in many of the skirts to create visually interesting garments. Each skirt is hand-dyed in vibrant colors and features one side seam pocket. Handmade drawstrings attach to an enclosed elastic band making each garment fit most body types. |

| Ideal for teachers, these
sweet and sassy 2-tiered skirts fall below the knee allowing the feet,
and the direction of movement to be seen easily. On the other
hand they are also perfect for dancers to twirl twist and turn in while
waiting for the next dance to begin. Twirling in these skirts evokes
a feeling of playfulness and exuberance. I always feel young at heart
when dancing in these shorter skirts. Worn with a cropped top or wide
belt the figure is accentuated beautifully. Leggings or leg warmers
are a nice addition to this shorter skirt. Approximately 28” in length |

| Marina
and John Bear, who have been teaching circle dance since 1985: “ These are spectacular garments, at affordable prices. We love dancing in them . . . and so do many others. We brought a bunch of prototypes to our annual Circle Dance Camp in the high Sierras for people to try out. Dozens of people danced in them, and a fair number took one home. The same thing happened when we put on a workshop in western Canada this summer. The dancers loved the glorious colors, the wonderful craftsmanship, and how it felt to dance in them. Heather and David have a real winner here.” |
